PRIDE Festival

LGBTQ people laughing at the PRIDE festival.

Celebrate our diversity as a Columbia Heights PRIDE Festival volunteer! Each summer neighbors and people from across the metro are drawn to this vibrant, family-friendly festival. The carnival atmosphere includes music performances, story tellers, vendor booths, activities, and even a bouncy house. In the evening, the celebration finishes with an adult-only burlesque show.

HeightsNEXT is the organizing sponsor, planning all performances and activities, recruiting all vendors, and staffing the event.

Columbia Heights PRIDE Festival Volunteering

Everyone is welcome to staff and attend the festival and performances. Members of the LGBTQIA+ community are strongly encouraged to plan the event and lead the festivities, including MC’ing ceremonies and hosting streaming broadcasts.

Typically, the Columbia Heights PRIDE Festival is held in July. Tons of preparation is involved, so planning begins in September.
